At Nicholson & Woolf, people have always been at the heart of everything we do, and today we are delighted to introduce the newest member of our growing team, Herbie, who joins us as a Junior Sales Negotiator.
Our story with Herbie began a little earlier than most.
I first met Herbie while carrying out a valuation at his parents’ home. As I sat at the kitchen table discussing their property, Herbie was busy studying for his GCSE mock examinations. What struck me immediately was how engaged and interested he was. He asked thoughtful questions, showed a genuine curiosity about the property industry and, despite being focused on his studies, took a keen interest in what we were doing. Half-jokingly, I told him to come and find me when he had finished his education, and we would have a chat about a career in estate agency.
Little did I know that he would take me up on the offer.
Two years later, whilst studying for his A Levels, Herbie joined us for a week of work experience. From the moment he arrived, we were genuinely blown away. His professionalism, work ethic and willingness to learn were evident from day one. More importantly, he had a natural ability to communicate with people and quickly built a wonderful rapport with our clients. The confidence, maturity and enthusiasm he demonstrated were remarkable, and it became clear to us very quickly that he was someone we wanted to be part of the Nicholson & Woolf journey.
When Herbie visited our new office in April, we encouraged him to come back and see us once his exams had finished. We are delighted that he did.
Herbie officially joined the team at the beginning of September and has already achieved a milestone that many people spend months working towards, successfully selling his very first property. Following an exceptional viewing experience with a lovely buyer, he guided the process with confidence, professionalism and genuine care, qualities that are so important in our industry.
We are incredibly proud to have you on board, Herbie. Watching your confidence grow and seeing the impact you are already having on our clients has been a pleasure, and we are excited to see where this journey takes you.
At Nicholson & Woolf, we are passionate about supporting young people and creating opportunities within our local community. Since launching the business, we have already welcomed more than 15 students from Years 10 and 12 for work experience placements. We firmly believe that investing time in the next generation is one of the most rewarding things a business can do, and we are proud to play a small part in helping young people explore potential career paths.
