John

John first discovered the Eden Valley more than eight years ago and quickly fell in love with the landscape, the people and the slower pace of life. Not long afterwards, he and his wife bought a smallholding on Stainmore and made the move north.

While navigating the local property market, John met Katrina and was immediately impressed by her friendly, hard-working and professional approach to estate agency. When the opportunity arose, he joined the Nicholson & Woolf team, providing accurate floor plans to support the marketing of properties across the area.

Before moving into this role, John spent over 40 years working in law enforcement and the security industry. That career developed a keen eye for detail and a practical, methodical approach — qualities that prove invaluable when measuring properties and producing clear, reliable floor plans.

Alongside his work with Nicholson & Woolf, John is also an accomplished part-time wildlife photojournalist. He has travelled widely in pursuit of this passion, photographing wildlife and wild landscapes around the world. Closer to home, much of his free time is spent exploring the surrounding fells and moorland with a camera.

Now living in Sedbergh, John continues to enjoy life in this remarkable corner of the North while supporting the team in presenting properties clearly and professionally.
